Look at this wonderful image, it is named ”The eye of God”. Scientists at the LaSilla-observatory in Chile have created new spectacular images of the beautiful phenomena named “Gods eye”. This is the Helix cloud about 700 light years from earth, and it is assumed that we have at least 10 000 planetarian clouds like this in our galaxy, according to the European Southern Observatory. The Helix cloud is the planetarian cloud closest to earth.
The “Eye of God” belongs to the Aquarius zodiac.
The spectacular image is in fact a dying star which once was similar to our star, the sun. The star is in the center of the image, shrinking to a white dwarf. In this process the star have blown away its outer layers in skies of gas, twice. That’s why the cloud have double rings. Ultra violet rays from the little warm star makes the gas (mostly hydrogen) glow in all colours. The fog is about 2,5 light years in diameter.
